Prepare yourself for any stage of automotive finishing work by keeping an Eastwood buff compound set in your toolbox. From polishing aluminum engine parts to restoring a brilliant shine to stainless steel, these compounds yield superior results. More is not always better when it comes to restoring luster. These buffing compounds contain less filler and more abrasive than other compounds on the market, so they cut faster. Each compound is made from the highest-quality binders and abrasive materials available and packed in a resealable plastic package that is clearly labeled for easy identification. Our complete buffing compound kit contains one brick each of six different abrasive compounds: Emery(32030)For fast cutting on iron, steel and other hard metals to remove scratches, rust, corrosion burrs etc. Use with Sisal wheels. Do Not use on gold or silver. (Dark Gray 13 oz brick) Stainless(32031)For buffing stainless and other steels, chromium, nickel plate and some harder plastics. Use with Spiral or Ventilated buffs. Do Not use on gold or silver. (Light Gray 12 oz brick)Tripoli(32032)For buffing all base metals. Use on brass, aluminum, pewter, copper etc. Also plated surfaces. Use with Spiral or Ventilated wheels. Do Not use on gold or silver. (Brown 10 oz brick) White Rouge(32033)For final coloring on metal. Produces a brilliant high shine. Removes light scratches. Use with Loose or Canton Flannel buff wheels. (White 12 oz brick) Jewelers Rouge(32034)For the highest finish on gold, silver and other precious metals. Use with Canton Flannel or Felt buff wheels for best results. (Red 15 oz brick) Plastic(32035)For cut and coloring on hard plastics. Do Not use on soft or low melting point plastics like polyethylene. For cut-down, use Spiral Sewn buff wheel. For final high luster, use Flannel or String buffs. (Blue 13 oz brick)For more information on when to use each compound, see our Buffing Wheel and Compound Selection Chart in the Instructions section or visit the Eastwood Garage for a complete guide to the basics of this smoothing for metal and plastic. From step 1 rough buffing on heavily corroded surfaces to light rust removal or step 3 final finishing, theres a buffing compound in this set that will Do the Job Right.
